Júlia Pechman is a Brazilian film editor with a 20-year career spanning documentaries, fiction features, and series. Her most recent work includes:


The Archives, a documentary feature by Bernadette Wegenstein (USA/Austria/Brazil), currently in post-production and heading to the international festival circuit in 2026. Ndege (Brazil, UK and Congo) is making its rounds in 2026 at Vision du Réel and screenings worldwide. Also in post-production, a documentary biography about the police officer Mariel Mariscott for Globoplay.
In documentary series, her credits include productions for HBO — Escravidão Século XXI and
O Negro no Futebol Brasileiro — and titles for Globoplay.
In fiction features,
O Homem de Ouro (Mauro Lima) and Trago Seu Amor (Claudia Castro) were selected for the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival and the São Paulo International Film Festival (Mostra) in 2025, with Trago Seu Amor opening in theaters in June 2026. Detetives do Prédio Azul 4, a Brazilian youth fiction feature, screened at the Mostra in 2025 and opened in theaters the same year. João, o Maestro earned her Best Editing awards at the Lapa Film Festival and the Brazil-Russia Film Festival (2018), alongside a nomination for the Grand Prix of Brazilian Cinema.
In fiction series, she edited
Rio Connection (Sony) and productions for Galera FC Warner.


Júlia holds degrees in Radio and TV from UFRJ and in Cinema from Université Paris 8, and teaches editing at the Academia Internacional de Cinema.
